Upcycled denim picnic blankie

Around Christmas I went through “Spring” cleaning 😛 I got rid of a lot of clothing I am not wearing anymore and I found quite a few pairs of old, broken jeans that were shoved at the back of the closet for occasions like – I will wear them when I do gardening / or I will wear them when I paint something ( as if it would ever happen ).

As you all probably have started to notice – I LOVE ripping things apart 😀 The jeans were no exception! I cut them up and used a template to cut out pieces for my blanket.

Here they are all laid out! It took me 3 days to decide how to re-arrange squares.

I have started to stitch the squares together – wish me luck and lots of patience! 😀
